Ocean Software Pty Ltd is a global success story, providing clients with world-class aviation and logistics management solutions. Primarily focused on the needs of the Defence Industry, Ocean is in the unique position of supplying its operations and training management software system, FlightPro, to Military Air Arms and Flight Training Organisations throughout the world. 


As a result of increased demand, Ocean is looking to hire an experienced professional to lead and support the delivery of FlightPro to our European clients. This is an opportunity to assist a team focused on delivering the best possible service to our customers and providing the customer with the tools needed to make unit operations safe and efficient. 


The location of the role is flexible within Western Europe, however France is our preference, and you must be able to access a local airport as this role is likely to requires frequent travel. 


The ideal candidate will have had a career in military flying operations (e.g. CAOC, Unit Ops), leading projects and identifying improvements to processes for various military stakeholders.  



Essential skills/traits 

  • Demonstrable experience in military flying operations. 
  • A confident and persuasive presenter, able to conduct formal presentations to Users; Squadron or Headquarters executives; provide User training both classroom and On the Job; and utilise technology to conduct online presentations and/or support 
  • Degree qualified (ideally Business/Technology/Aviation).      
  • Right to live and work in EU (able to attain NATO or French Military security clearance). 

Desired skills/traits 

  • Ex-Military Aircrew Instructor 
  • Previous Project experience with a preference given to software focused projects 
  • Previous experience in Military Joint Operations 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels 
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and oral. 
  • Excellent French communication skills both written and oral 
  • Collaborative, team orientated approach whilst willing to be accountable for their responsibilities. 
  • A solid understanding of software. 
  • Excellent analytical, communication & interpersonal skills.
